Dr Oscar John ma

Professor and Chair of Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University from 2007 to 2019, Dr. Oscar John Ma been a member of the faculty since 2007. In the years 2011-2013, Dr. Oscar John Ma served as President of the Professional Staff of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).

Dr. Oscar John Ma was the CEO and co-founder of Innovative, Disruptive, Emerging Applications in Emergency Medicine, which he founded with his wife, Dr. Jennifer Ma (IDEA-EM). Oscar John Ma has edited 20 reference textbooks that have been published in over ten languages, including Ma and Mateer's Emergency Ultrasound and Tinitnalli's Emergency Medicine, both of which have been published in several languages.

Dr. Oscar John Ma's study has mostly focused on the uses of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of injuries in patients who have been in a traumatic accident. He has served on the boards of directors for the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He has received four Teacher of the Year awards, as well as the SAEM Excellence in Ultrasound Education Award in 2005, among other honors.
